Ed Miliband was in a fluster when he arrived at the Hospital Club for the WIE Awards. It wasn't just the fact that there was a room full of inspirational women (though understandable) and hardly any men (Noelle Reno's boyfriend Scott did come along) but that he was stuck in traffic and the ceremony had to be put on hold for five minutes. The guests didn't mind, especially Claudia Winkleman, Jemima Khan and Jo Malone, who used the time wisely to locate the tuna steak canapes.
